PAUL, MN (August 24, 2009) - Digital Angel (NASDAQ: DIGA), an advanced technology company in the field of animal identification and emergency identification solutions, announced today that the FAST FIND™ 210 personal locator beacon, produced by the Company's McMurdo unit, was presented with the Product of the Year Award during the annual Very Important Vendor (VIV) meeting hosted by West Marine, Inc. Based in Watsonville, CA, West Marine is the world's leading marine products retailer. The FAST FIND achieved West Marine's top product seal of approval based on a number of criteria, including product innovation, deliverables, store support, vendor support and point of purchase support.
